Volunteering is extremely important to me as I want to give back to my community. While you can see a list of non-profits I have volunteered with over the years, I also focus on acts of kindness that I don't track or post about on social media. Helping others isn't about receiving recognition at the expense of those who need help.

SJ Walls (formerly Pow Wow! San Jose) highlights the cultural diversity that San Jose has to offer through a gathering of contemporary artists engaging the broader community in the process and creation of live art and music. I supported this group by acting as a liaison with Kelly-Moore Paints to sponsor their events through in-kind donations. In addition, I managed the supply and paint logistics for artists and attend events as representative for KM. The mural image you clicked on the homepage was taken by me and is an example of one of the many mural I helped support.

While working in Kelly Moore Paints stores, I would reach out to local Toys For Tots to coordinate and designate my store as a donation site. When I implemented the KM community outreach program, I initiated a company wide event to designate majority of our stores as drop off sites. We partnered with another local business to match donations. I managed the logistics and internal marketing for the event over 2 seasons (and coordinated the third, while cross training the next person to take over, when I left the company).

Coordinated 2 give back events for Kelly Moore Paints annual sales meetings to support local United Way communities (Monterey, Ca & DFW, Tx). Managed the sponsorship request and logistics for day of events where employees stuffed over 500 backpacks for children in need.

While working for ACS I would volunteer in my personal time to support events in the area. I acted as an accounting volunteer, logistics management and volunteer coordination. After leaving ACS I continued to support events by building fundraising teams at Kelly Moore Paints where we raised over $20000 over 3 years through sponsorship and grass roots fundraising efforts. Additionally, I managed the coordination of getting water donated so we could pass it out for free event participants.

I supported MSABC during my time with ACS by volunteering to be a photographer, coordinate day of event logistics and merchanidse tent inventory sales/management.

Through an opportunity with Spencer Gifts I was able to volunteer at 3 different Van's Warped Tours (Fresno, Mt, View, Sacramento) with the Keep A Breast foundation. Helping to educate attendees on breast cancer awareness and support their fundraising efforts.

I was a Camp Counselor for a spring break program for underprivileged kids. This was a free program for kids to get to spend a week at a summer camp for free. I was responsible for a cabin of 10 Girls ranging from 9-10 years old.
